The UAB Scientific and Technical Services: an opportunity for BSP’s companies
In order to publicize the existence and characteristics of the Scientific and Technical Services (SCT) of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), ​​the Science and Technology Library hosts, until the end of April, an exhibition of devices, laboratory tools and daily objects of the 13 research support services currently offered by the university.
 
The SCT are made up of facilities including infrastructures and large-scale equipment dedicated to offering specialised technical services. Its main mission is to give scientific and technological support to research groups and companies for the development of their R&D projects. They are staffed by qualified personnel who offer tailored technical advice and support.
 
For the companies of the Barcelona Synchrotron Park, having SCT at their doorsteps offers a competitive advantage and a source of opportunities for their R&D challenges.
 
The 13 Services are focused on sectors as varied as biotechnology, food science and animal production, experimental microscopy or RX technologies or, also, social sciences and humanities:
