The Catalan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology opens its new building
The Catalan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ICN2) with its 140 researchers, inaugurated on January 20th its new 6,700 m2 headquarters at the campus of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, the Barcelona Synchrotron Park works with.
The ICN2 is the result of a long-term collaboration between the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and the Government of Catalonia. The two centres agreed to join forces in their initiatives in nanoscience with the aim of strengthening research and knowledge transfer in this field.
